At Therepo, we understand that armed conflict brings unique and urgent mental health challenges. As tensions escalate during the current India–Pakistan war, residents living along the border face increased stress, fear, and uncertainty. In response, Therepo is offering free counselling sessions specifically for those impacted by this conflict, ensuring timely, compassionate support at no cost.

Why This Matters Now

Border communities are on the front lines of conflict and often experience:

  • Heightened Anxiety & Trauma: From shelling and cross-border firing to mass evacuations, the psychological toll can be immense.

  • Displacement & Loss: Families may lose homes, livelihoods, or even loved ones, leading to grief, survivor’s guilt, and complex trauma.

  • Stigma & Isolation: Cultural norms and lack of nearby resources can prevent individuals from seeking help—or even acknowledging their distress.

Our goal is to offer immediate, confidential support so people can process trauma, regain stability, and build resilience amid crisis.

What We Provide

  1. Crisis Intervention: Rapid-response counselling for individuals experiencing acute stress reactions, panic attacks, or grief, available within 24–48 hours of registration.

  2. Trauma-Focused Therapy: Evidence-based approaches (EMDR, CBT for trauma) delivered by licensed psychologists trained in war-related PTSD and grief counselling.

  3. Peer Support Groups: Facilitated sessions connecting residents who share similar experiences—fostering mutual understanding, coping strategies, and community solidarity.

  4. Family Counselling: Helping families navigate collective trauma, restore communication, and strengthen support systems under one roof or via group calls.

  5. Mindfulness & Resilience Workshops: Brief, practical techniques (grounding exercises, breathing practices, meditation) to manage ongoing stressors and improve emotional regulation.

All sessions are offered in English, Hindi, and Urdu, with additional regional languages available upon request.
